Created to promote the upcoming Portugal. The Man concert in Bozeman, MT, this illustrated poster takes a deep dive into the band's values and the roots of the Gallatin Valley. While researching Portugal. The Man, I learned how they strive to use their platform to uplift the voices of the indigenous peoples wherever they perform, and I knew I wanted the poster to reflect that. The Crow and Blackfeet Nations not only shared the Gallatin Valley, but many origin stories as well. In both tribes, the coyote is recognized as the creator of life and the world in which we walk. In the illustration, the coyote is shown exhaling "Portugal. The Man", an ode to the Crow Nation's origin of being breathed to life by the coyote. Created in Procreate and Adobe Photoshop
